Guys, we got some shocking Dragon Ball Super Episode 90 Spoilers, and this will blow you away. The preview summary of Episode 90 is actually implying that Gohan might surpass Goku, Yeap for real! Piccolo and Gohan will team up to fight against the Goku-Tien duo, and I have a feeling we are going to get 5-star action.

Okay, looks like it’s finally finally safe to say Gohan is Great Again.
In Episode 88, Gohan trained with Piccolo and recovered his basics, and used his mystic form after a long time, but afterward, Piccolo said that wasn’t enough, and they are going to keep training to reach a higher level. Also, it was made clear that what we saw in 88 wasn’t even the serious part, as the Senzu Beans Piccolo took from Goku wasn’t used. Who knows maybe that’ll get used after the team battle.
Whatever it is, looks like Piccolo’s worked better than expected, as it sounds like Gohan will give Goku a tough battle at the very least. Even though the spoilers is hinting that Gohan will surpass Goku, I don’t think that’ll literally happen, but if it does. It could be like Gohan outperforms Goku somehow before the tournament, but Goku reveals his newfound powers or form in the battle royal. Once again getting ahead of the curve, given the fact Goku is using SSB as much as SSJ, it could just be possible that Goku has something under his sleeves. Which he is waiting to reveal in the tournament, now Gohan has been a promoted in a way that he is going to dominate the battle. In order to be able to do that, he can’t but be somewhere around the level where Goku is currently, assuming that Goku will reach new heights in the tournament.
Now, I admit it is a bit weird that Gohan is able to power up so much, in such a short time, but remember potential is the game here. The concept of dormant potential is hard to digest in Dragon Ball Universe like Goten became a Super Saiyan at the age of 7 training with Chi Chi. Think about all right. Besides, Gohan has always been like that. Years of inactivity and being a bitch after the Cell Saga, and yet in the Buu saga by a single training session with the Kaioshins he became the strongest non-fused character in DBZ. That was weird, this is weird, but let’s accept the way things are and move on.
However, having all that said, letting you know that I understand your concern. I just want to remind everyone that, Gohan just didn’t come out of nowhere and just had one training session to become so strong. He was already in a much better condition than he was in the Golden Frieza arc when he was in the Zen Exhibition. Because remember and this is important, Gohan did train with Piccolo on multiple occasions before this point, and after the Frieza arc. We saw some before, but it is crystal clearly hinted that they kept training from time to time. When Future Trunks was about to leave, Gohan appeared to say goodbye along with Piccolo. So, maybe before that, they trained too. Besides, Future Trunks powered up very swiftly in a short duration in the last arc, again pointing out how much difference potential can make.
Also, the Zen Exhibition might have helped him, as he almost gave everything he had, and even though it’s not a direct thing anymore but perhaps you could say he got a little bit of Zenkai boost too. Let’s see what else they show, and how much powerful he actually is, and then I’ll do further analysis and share my verdict.
Apart from that, I think DBS fans, from the comparatively newer generation, are highly underestimating Piccolo. Never forget that Piccolo is a top class fighter, and has the ability to match even the likes of Goku and Vegeta. In the Saiyan Saga, when he became a Super Namek he was temporarily the strongest Z fighter, so there shouldn’t even be a debate about his capabilities. Imagine the amount of bitching we would get if the fan community was active in the DBZ days when Piccolo got that boost. He fell behind the race in the Buu saga, but that shouldn’t be getting him off the books permanently. Also, in Episode 88 Piccolo mentions that he kept training while Gohan was busy with his research and other useless shit; he is now immensely more powerful than before. Also, all these training sessions with Gohan helped him to boost his power up. I am just clarifying it, as I feel Piccolo will do well in the team battle, and some haters will start bitching again. Also, that Piccolo is strong enough to benefit Gohan with his training, he is not as weak the majority thinks he is. Besides, he understands Gohan better than anyone else. Most importantly, there wasn’t just enough time before the start of the tournament, for someone like Gohan to go and train with Whis. Although I would like to see Gohan get a higher level of training in the future, I think this decision was perfect. Except I think it would be little more sensible if Gohan trained in the hyperbolic time chamber with either Goku or Piccolo. Preferably Goku, and that’s still possible if they really want to do it. I have a question for you guys though, And let’s see who can call this or whose prediction comes closest. That is since they are implying Gohan will try to surpass Goku, do you think?
In Episode 90, we will witness a new transformation from Gohan? Or will he just remain in his mystic form?
If he does get a new form, what will it be?
Will it be Super Saiyan Blue or will he take his own special path and advance the mystic form even further. Since the mystic form has to do with white aura or ki, they could give him white hair. That would fall in line with what Toriyama said about probably using White on some future occasion.
I am also really excited about seeing Tien in action once again, he is one of my all-time favorites, and I think he is one of the most underrated characters in Dragon Ball. I started watching with Dragon Ball, and he was like among the top powerful in DB, but in DBZ he became nothing compared to what he was, and I always had a hard time accepting that. Back in the Dragon Ball days, he was like the first challenging rival of Goku. Master Roshi did defeat Kid Goku, but that wasn’t to me rivalry rather a master-student thing. Then, even Tien defeated Goku in the tournament. Now, after all these years, we are going to see this excellent martial artist entertain us with his new set of skills. Tien always had mad techniques and kept coming up with more. Even in today’s standard, Dragon Ball Tien could be referred as someone with a great set of moves. Even by the current standards. This dude did crazy stuff like sprouting out two extra arms. Now, one of the finest things about this arc is, they are giving new attacks to all the characters! Something Dragon Ball didn’t do frequently. We saw Krillin using an upgraded version of Solar Flare, then we see Piccolo using his broken detached from the body arm to unleash a ki blast. Similarly, the preview summary says Tien will also have some unique techniques when it comes to techniques Tien is extremely creative and thus I am really really excited to see what he comes up with. Since all the characters are getting major power boosts, do you think Tien could get a new level of power, maybe unlocking the power of his 3rd eye. His 3rd eye actually gives him godly powers naturally, but due to his not so good origins it became useless, but it has been long since Tien has been a good guy, and his heart is totally pure now. So, maybe with dedicated training, he can unlock some hidden powers? Let me know your thoughts about that in the comments.
Episode 90 is much more than just a Gohan centric episode for me and many other fans. Only one thing I am hoping, but most probably wouldn’t happen is at least some fighter using the time chamber. Another, big news Toyotaro in a recent interview, confirmed that DBS is indeed on the verge of reaching the ending of DBZ, and they will keep most of the things in line with that ending. That’s most likely why UUB got mentioned, we might get a UUB saga afterward.
