Who is the Mysterious Prisoner In One Piece Chapter 924?

You can read the article below or watch the video above to save time :)

In the Chapter 924 of One Piece, we saw Luffy getting captured by Kaido and then sent to a prison where he met Eustass Kidd. Most of the One Piece fans are talking about Eustass Kidd, however there was a mysterious guy, inside one of the prison, about whome not even the guards know anything.

Who could be this man? How strong is he? Why did Kaido capture him? These questions will be discussed in today article!

Now if we go back to chapter 921, there was a scene in which Kin'emon asked the Straw Hats to find 3 particular people, which he said were as strong as 100 men. Those were Kawamatsu, Denjiro and Ashura aka Shutenmaru.

We were already introduced to Shutenmaru in chapter 921. He is the leader of the Atamayama Thieves who reside somewhere in Wano Country Prior to this, he went by the name Ashura Doji and served under Kozuki Oden until the latter's death 20 years ago. Shutenmaru can't be that person because he isn't captured.

That leaves us with two possible outcomes, that person can be either Kawamatsu or Denjiro. Both Kawamatsu and Denjiro served Oden 20 years ago and were his strongest followers along with Shutenmaru.

Now the reason why this theory might be true is because if we revisit Chapter 912 Luffy and O-tama conversation:-
Luffy: "And what's that?! A-A Croco-shark! dang it looks super wild! why don't we just eat that thing then?"
O-Tama: "All the strong samurai that could catch'n that thing are either locked up or become bandits"
O-Tama: "Besides, the animals all drink the polluted water of the river, they're basically poisonous to humans."

Here O-Tama is basically saying that all the strong Samurai that can catch a Croco-shark are either locked up or have become bandits, possbily reffering to Shutenmaru (Bandit) and Kawamatsu or Denjiro (Locked up prisoners). That person can be a Croco-shark himself since he can eat poisonous animals.

Now why did Kaido capture them? Well this one is pretty easy. In the chapter 922 , we saw Kaido trying to recruit Shutenmaru as he is a strong samurai who can strengthen Kaido's army. Later in chapter 924, we all saw what Kaido does to his prisoners. He breaks their spirit, again to recruit them in his army. So the possible reason why Kaido captured that person was, so he can break his spirit and recruit him in his army.

So here is what I think about the mysterious prisoner and why I thought Kaido captured him. Tell me what you think about it, down in the comments below!
