Hey everyone! You all probably know about the Legendary Sannin. They were the three strongest Shinobi of their generation in Naruto. During the 2nd Great Ninja War, the famously fought (and lost lol) against Hanzo the Salamander.
It was Hanzo who named them the Sannin. The group of Sannin consisted of Orochimaru, Tsunade and Jiraiya. I’ve seen a lot of people argue over who the most powerful Sannin was.
And today, I’ll analyze the strength and the weakness of each of the Sannin to see who the strongest was.
So let’s begin with Tsunade. She was the granddaughter of the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju. While Tsuande was a terrific melee fighter, she was not quite as powerful as Hashirama hismelf, as noted my Madara. Her strengths included the Creation Rebirth, which granted her immortality for as long as the seal wore off.

Tsuande’s main power lied in her in brute force, and chakra reserves. However, as the series progressed, many characters with greater attributes were revealed. Nonetheless, her chakra and strength stilk remain top notch! For me, she remains to be the weakest of the Sannin.
Next comes Jiraiya. Jiraiya was a master of 4 elemental releases, only failing to use lightning. He was great at Ninjutsu, and Taijutsu, but lacked Genjutsu skills.
However, his prowess in battle was not to be underestimated. He was a great Shinobi, and could finish off most opponents by himself.
Jiraiya’s main Strength lied in the Sage Mode. However, he took too much time to enter Sage Mode. Once he entered Sage Mode, it was very hard to defeat him. All his Ninjutsu, and Taijutsu attributes are boosted to the peak.
